MarSal's "Baby Jesus of Prague"

This icon is a replica of the Baby Jesus of Prague and was created around the 1870's. It was brought to MarSal for restoration.
Gold leaf was carefully applied to re-guild the piece due to the fact that much of the original gold leaf was flaking off, and
a considerable amount of detail of the carving underneath was obscured. Many days of careful cleaning brought out the original
character of the piece. A wooden pedestal was also created to match the original style, and then gilded to match the feeling of this work of art.
